Die Tage werden kürzer, draußen ist es oft ungemütlich und damit genau die richtige Atmosphäre sich in ein Buch zu vertiefen. Wir laden daher in diesem Jahr erstmals zu einer Silent Reading Party in unserer Bibliothek ein. Ein Abend voller Ruhe, Gemütlichkeit und Lesefreude!

Was ist eine Silent Reading Party?

Ganz einfach: Wir treffen uns zum gemeinsamen, stillen Lesen. Jede*r bringt ein eigenes Buch mit – oder lässt sich spontan bei uns inspirieren. Es gibt keine Vorgaben, keinen Druck, keine Aufgaben.

Dabei sein lohnt sich

Endlich Zeit fürs Lesen: im vorweihnachtlichen Trubel ist die Silent Reading Party eine kleine Insel der Ruhe.

Gemeinschaft trotz Stille: Es ist ein besonderes Gefühl, mit anderen Menschen einen Raum zu teilen, in dem alle dasselbe tun – einfach lesen.

Wohlfühlatmosphäre garantiert: Wir sorgen für warmes Licht, gemütliche Sitzplätze und eine entspannte, adventliche Stimmung.

Kleine Snacks sind inklusive.

Wer kann teilnehmen?

Alle, die Bücher lieben, Ruhe schätzen und sich eine kleine Auszeit im Advent gönnen möchten: Studierende, Mitarbeitende, Alumni, Freund*innen der Bibliothek und natürlich alle Literaturbegeisterten. Eine Anmeldung ist nicht notwendig. Einfach vorbei kommen und mitlesen.

That’s why we’re inviting you to our first-ever Silent Reading Party in our library this year—an evening full of peace, comfort, and the joy of reading!

What is a Silent Reading Party?

It’s simple: we meet to read together in silence. Everyone brings their own book – or finds inspiration on site. There are no rules, no pressure, no tasks.

Why it’s worth joining

Finally time to read: in the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, the Silent Reading Party offers a small island of calm.
Community despite silence: it’s a special feeling to share a space with others when everyone is doing the same thing – simply reading.
A guaranteed feel-good atmosphere: we provide warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed Advent ambience.
Small snacks are included.

Who can participate?

Anyone who loves books, appreciates peace and quiet, and would like to treat themselves to a little break during Advent: students, staff, alumni, friends of the library and, of course, all literature enthusiasts. No registration is required – just drop by and read along.
