The State and University Library Bremen (SuUB) is the city's largest and oldest academic library, and regularly offers training and internship placements within the library and the bookbindery.
For information about job vacancies and trainings please refer to the German page.
The State and University Library offers a range of internships.
Our specially tailored internships for school pupils provide schoolgoers with an overview of the work of bookbinders and specialists for media and information services at academic libraries.
Students of Library and Information Sciences (Bachelor / Masters) complete a comprehensive internship at the library during their studies, gaining hands-on experience in their chosen profession and an overview of the library's various departments.
Placements are limited in order to provide interns with the best possible experience. Regretfully this means that we are unable to accept all of the applications made to our office.
If you would like to apply for a placement, please contact our Internship Director:
